About

Hi there! I'm Rachel, and I'm thrilled to share that I started Kiddibops Music-Play Classes after a fulfilling career of 22 years in Secondary Music Teaching and taking time off to raise my kids. As a passionate musician and music educator, I really wanted to find a genuine music class that could introduce my little ones to the joy of music through play-based learning. However, I was quite disappointed with what I discovered. While the classes available were entertaining, they felt overly stimulating and lacked the true musical essence and proper delivery I was hoping for. It became clear to me that creating quality music classes that I would want for my children was the way to go! Music is such a beautiful tool for learning, and when used thoughtfully, it supports children in all areas of their development. By combining a play-based approach with child-led content, we encourage kids to explore and express their creativity through music-making. I have a deep passion for early years music, and I'm proud to have recently earned a distinction at Masters level in Early Years Education with a focus on music for children from birth to 5 years. My research concentrated on designing a programme to help parents use music to support their children with SEND, especially those with ASD and speech, language, and communication delays. I truly believe that all young children deserve access to quality musical experiences, and that's exactly what we aim to deliver at Kiddibops! I am fortunate to work alongside a talented team of early years music practitioners, all of whom are skilled musicians and educators experienced in working with SEND.
