READY, STEADY, GO PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Ready, Steady, Go Parent and Toddler Group is a new facility available for parents/carers with pre-school age children in Spondon and the surrounding areas. The group is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
On Tuesday 4th November all sessions will take place at Spondon Cricket Club. There is a large carpark and extensive grounds that will be used for the range of sessions we provide. The sessions take place in the function room on the first floor at the cricket club. Unfortunately, the lift is not working at the moment. If you have a pushchair this can be left outside under the veranda or in the corridor on the group floor.
To access the room, you need to walk up the stairs. If you need help getting upstairs with your child/children a member of the team will be there to help you.
Our aim is to provide educational activities for children aged 0 to 4 years of age.
Our FREE Stay and Play and Sensory/Messy Play sessions are for children - 0 to 4 years
Forest School and FREE Pre-School Play (School Readiness) sessions are for children - 2 years 6 months to 4 years
We have a comfortable area for babies with mats and baby toys. As we are outside during the Forest School session, you can use a sling or pushchair.
All sessions follow a theme that interests young children and enable them to engage, explore and have fun. The sessions are be led by qualified, experienced educational practitioners. Activities are carefully planned and resourced and help develop children’s social, emotional, communication, creative and thinking skills. Each session provides a range of quality educational activities for parents/carers to play with their child and support their learning and development. Parents/carers are fully responsible for their child throughout the session.
It is my hope that the coming together of parents/carers and their children will provide a safe and warm environment in which everyone can play, socialise, support, guide and learn from each other.
