Looking for somewhere to get back (or start!) strength training with weights? Look no further. Here at Built Studios we offer strength training for postpartum mamas and since postpartum is forever, you’re welcome to join at any stage so long as you’ve been signed off by your GP or Postnatal Physio.
Suitable from 6 weeks PP, we will rebuild strength from the foundations up. Week one of every month will start with breathwork, core connection and posterior chain. Week two will incorporate unilateral work and mind muscle connection. Week three will introduce progressive overload and supersets. Week four will explore higher intensity work.
Please note: you can drop in at any point, however consistency is key. As the months go on the programme stays the same however your strength, fitness and technique improves.
Coached by Jodie, a mum of soon to be two, these are specifically designed to support your rebuild by using weights, bands and bodyweight to build muscle and strength. Sessions are baby friendly, although once they are crawling it is at the mother’s discretion as we cannot safeguard them.
I am a pre and postnatally qualified coach. With seven years experience training clients and now with two children under three, I know a bit about training with little ones and the barriers we face.
