Charlie Hodgson’s Parent & Child Duo Guitar Lessons are a relaxed, screen-free way to connect, create memories and build a shared hobby through music. Whether you’re complete beginners or you’ve both dabbled before, these 1:1 duo sessions are completely tailored to you.

Charlie has taught for over 20 years and is one of Kings Langley’s top-rated guitar tutors, known for his warm, calm, and encouraging approach. DBS checked and with decades of experience playing, gigging and recording, he creates a safe, welcoming studio space where families of all abilities and backgrounds are supported. He has worked extensively with neurodivergent children and SEN learners — always adapting his teaching style to each individual’s pace and personality.

Sessions are hosted from Charlie’s peaceful, music-filled home studio in Kings Langley or can be arranged online via Zoom. Each lesson lasts 30 or 45 minutes and can be booked individually or in blocks.

🎒 You’ll need a guitar each — but don’t worry if you’re not sure what to buy. Charlie can recommend affordable, age-appropriate instruments before your first session.

Whether you’re a mum and son, dad and daughter, or even a grandparent and grandchild, this is a special bonding activity that builds skills, confidence and joy in every session.

Come as you are — nervous, rusty or totally new — and leave feeling proud.

🎸 Please bring your own guitar(s) — Charlie is happy to advise on what to buy before your first session. Lessons take place in Charlie’s calm, child-friendly Kings Langley studio. On arrival, please ring the Ring doorbell and wait to be welcomed in.

Charlie is DBS-checked, has over 20 years’ teaching experience, and is known locally for his gentle, patient and engaging approach — especially with complete beginners and neurodivergent learners.
