DARE VALLEY FOREST SCHOOL

We are an inclusive Forest School Home Education Group for all ages and their grown ups. Children are able to explore nature in depth and learn at their own pace in a safe and nurturing environment. We take inspiration from a combination of Forest Schooling, unschooling, Froebelian, Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches, however, all learning approaches are welcome and supported!

We have a very relaxed structure at our sessions. We spend the first 20 minutes to half an hour welcoming everyone, chatting, cooking snacks on the campfire and getting used to the space. We will have a range of activities on offer that will be displayed around our woodland to start at any time. 

We also have award activities on display if the children would like to choose a skill and receive a tutorial. Everything we do is the children’s choice and at the children’s pace. Some children may wish to explore and watch for the first few sessions to get a feel for the space and group and that’s completely okay!
