FRIENDS OF NATURE FOREST SCHOOL

We are a family run forest school offering stay and play sessions and birthday parties. Our aim is to inspire young children to flourish, grow their confidence and independence and learn to love nature using the outdoors as the playground and classroom.

We are situated in the heart of peaceful Higher Poynton, and run every Monday, Thursday and Friday (10am-12pm term-time).

We have a wide range of play equipment and activities, ranging from rope swings and slides, to real tools and natural resources that will foster your childs creativity and curiosity as well as build new and useful skills.

We are child led, and have a very relaxed atmosphere- there is no pressure to do any activities, it is all about what your child is comfortable and happy doing, and where they would like to explore.

Every session starts and ends with a circle time, where songs and stories are shared, and parents and children have the opportunity to enjoy a hot or cold drink, snacks cooked on the campfire and toasting marshmallows to make a s'more.

We are inclusive and welcome all to our sessions.

The site is accessible with a pram, however it is best to bring babies in a sling as it will be easier to navigate the whole site.
We provide tea, coffee, water, milk and juice, a snack cooked on the fire, marshmallows and biscuits- this is all included in your booking.
Babes in arms are free if attending with an older child (if you would like to book for a non-walker that is not accompanying an older child please get in touch)
