MARIA MOON MUSIC ALTERNATIVE AND INFORMAL BRAIN DEVELOPING MUSIC SESSIONS FOR BABIES AND INFANTS UNDER 6 YRS OLD.

A Makaton singing session for children, best suited for toddlers, and preschoolers, is a lively, multisensory experience that combines singing familiar songs and nursery rhymes with Makaton sign language to support communication and language development.

In these sessions, children and their caregivers will:

• Learn and use simple Makaton signs alongside song lyrics, turning singing into a visual and interactive performance.
• Engage with music, movement, and signs that enhance understanding and memory by providing additional visual cues.
• Benefit from increased vocalization, confidence, social interaction, emotional development, and inclusion, especially for children with delayed speech or neurodiverse needs.
• Use gestures that promote rhythm, timing, and awareness of musical structure, making the experience engaging and supportive of whole-brain learning.
