MINI PROFESSORS

Grown-ups, come and join us at our Lockwood venue and explore the joy and wonder of science with your kids.

How a typical class runs

• Put on our lab coats
• Sing our Mini Professors' 'Welcome Song'
• Intro to the day's topic, with pictures and props
• First experiment, where we encourage all our Mini Professors and their grownups to join in (and maybe get messy!).
• A short video, related to the topic
•  A story
• Another fantastic hands on science experiment
•  Summary of what we've learnt
• End with the Mini Professors' 'Goodbye Song'
• A sticker!

We have sessions during the week and on Saturday mornings aimed at 3 age groups (toddlers age 2-3, preschoolers aged 3-5 & kids of school age 5-8)

A different topic is explored each week. It could be The Brain, Electricity, Flight, Chemical reactions, Maths, Dinosaurs, Fossils, Butterflies, Weird Science, Space......

Our classes are not just fun but can help get children ready for school and preschool

• improve listening skills
• introduce turn taking
• increase vocabulary
• improve fine motor skills,
• develop science skills
• increase confidence.

The venue is on the 2nd floor of a Victorian Mill Building with no step free access.
