Description
As part of the High Tide Festival and celebrating South Asian Heritage Month, we are excited to present People Who Live in the Skies, a performance by the Amina Khayyam Dance Company. The 20-minute performance will be followed by a 15-minute participatory dance and movement workshop.
About People Who Live in the Skies
‘Once upon a time, not too long ago, there lived people in the skies… where they built their houses, roads, shops, schools, train and police stations… But one day a fierce wind blew that made them look down to the ground… and what they found was not what they had hoped…’
Exploring topical environmental issues, People Who Live in the Skies is an enchanting, exciting and engaging tale using exhilarating storytelling movement of Kathak dance.
‘Expect rotten vegetables, stormy winds and thunderous clouds… oh and a tree that may or may not blossom…’
