SINGING MAMAS

A weekly moment of joy and song for women. Babies are more than welcome (and the singing is incredible for them), but the focus is on you, in a beautiful space, to feel connection and support through joyful song amongst a circle of women.

All women of all ages welcome (singing mamas, aunties, sisters, friends...!)

We will sing uplifting songs, deeply rooted songs, silly songs, and soothing songs all from the folk and harmony-song traditions, followed by a chance to chat over a warm drink and something sweet.

There are no auditions, no solos, no reading music, just simple songs taught by ear, for the pure enjoyment of singing together and being in the moment.

I hope you will leave feeling nourished, connected and energised.

Babies and toddlers welcome - we will have a quilt with toys in the middle of our circle for them to play while we sing. Older children - it's really at your discretion but I would just say be mindful this is a class aimed at you the mama. So just have a think about whether your child is likely to join in and sing or listen and play, or would need more of your attention and draw you away from things.

Parking is on-street on Cornwallis or Campbell Road - 2 hrs free.

Space to leave prams/pushchairs outside or inside the yurt (rain-covers recommended I suppose!)

Baby change on site.

Oxford City Farm is open on Friday mornings, so come earlier and enjoy the community atmosphere, veggies on sale, animals to see and places for outside play.
