Come and enjoy a stay and play session in Millennium Wood, a hidden gem right here in Outwood Country Park, Radcliffe. These outdoor sessions are designed to support early childhood development through nature-based activities, sensory play, and exploration.

- Opportunities to encourage early speech, language, creativity, gross and fine motor skills and social interaction.
- Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers aged 1–5 and their grown-ups.
About us:
Our Forest Stay and Play sessions are run by Emily from Small Talk, an Early Years specialist with over 10 years of experience. Emily is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and former Montessori teacher and each session is thoughtfully set up with a range of engaging activities to support children’s development.
+ We’re proud to be partnering with Friends of Outwood Country Park to celebrate and promote this amazing local green space.
By hosting sessions in Millennium Wood, we hope to encourage more families to explore the park, get involved in its care, and return for future events.
Instructions
We suggest that you dress your little one(s) in clothes and footwear suitable for the woods and weather. This is an outdoor event. A change of clothes might also be handy for the drive or walk home!
Please note that parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times during our Forest Stay & Play sessions.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Grown ups and under 1s are free.
Please note, this event takes place in the woodlands. There are no toilet or baby changing facilities.
Parking available at James St North, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 1AG. If you enter the park via Belmont Road and follow the track up past Incredible Edible - we’ll be in Millennium wood, on your right
