UNDER FIVES ROUNDABOUT

The Toddler Group caters for children from birth up to 4 years, accompanied by a parent/carer. We welcome mums, dads, grandparents and childminders to come and participate in fun activities together. Tuesdays are led by our Deputy Manager and Friday led by Sam, our Manager. Their expert knowledge and understanding of Early Years Education means the groups are exceptionally well led and very popular.

We meet Tuesdays and Fridays during term-time between 9:15am and 11:30am in the Community Room at Mayfield Primary School, Warwick Road, Cambridge, CB4 3HN. The entrance is on the corner of Warwick Road + Carisbrooke Road and there is free on-street parking. There are a range of inside activity stations as well as outside toys and bikes. You will need to bring snack & drink for your child but we will be offering tea and coffee and biscuits for the grown ups. Please do not bring nuts into the toddler playgroup.

The Toddler Playgroup is unique to Under Fives Roundabout. This group is far more than an opportunity for your children to learn and explore, it provides a setting to foster a sense of community and common values as well as enabling a support network for parents and carers.

The group is limited to 24 families, however in the summer months we can comfortably welcome more families due to our fabulous outdoor space. You can pay on the day or buy a pre-payment card but there is no need to pre-register.

9am – Setup: Feel free to come early if you can help to setup

9:15-10:30 Free play: Children are free to play inside and outside with a wide range of activities

10:30 Tidy up inside: The older children help to get ready for snack by cleaning the tables

10:40 – 10:55 Snack time: Children enjoy a snack sitting at the tables together. Please bring your own snack for children (no nuts). Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided for adults. 

10:55 – 11:10 Outdoor play and books inside

11:10 – 11:30 Group session: A story will be read and children will be led in song and dance

Buggies can be brought into the room. Great outdoor space, so bring wellies and waterproofs on rainy days and sunhats for sunny days. Painting, water play, sticking and soft play always available along with a wide variety of role play, small world play and construction.
