WADDLING PENGUINS

The session will begin with a welcome song every week to settle children and encourage routine and repetition. After this, through various games and stories children will be introduced to phonics -  the foundation to reading, writing and spelling. It is never too early to start teaching sounds! 

Children will then have the opportunity to explore various fun, engaging and educational activities set out around the room covering the seven areas of learning defined by the Early Years Framework. All  activities are pre-planned and designed to appeal to children of varying abilities and interests. 

We will end the session by regrouping and allowing children the opportunity to share their work from the session (developing their confidence) before we finish with our goodbye song. 

The session also provides an opportunity for children to bond with their caregiver over different activities. I am also able to provide ideas on how to extend this learning at home.
