Singing Mamas is a non-profit, award-winning, global movement for maternal wellbeing. We deliver nurturing, supportive singing groups for mothers and their allies.

We believe we are all innately able to sing and we know that singing can do amazing things for your wellbeing.

All songs are taught by ear. You’ll find no sheet music, no musical jargon, no auditions, no solos, no critique of voice, no pressure. We are absolutely about the singing and not the sound. The experience, not the musicality.
Singing Mamas Community Groups offer a supportive space to meet and connect with other women - breastfeeding is welcome, bottle-feeding is welcome, tears are welcome, just as you are - you are welcome.

About

Hi, I'm Harriet! I'm a former primary school teacher, now living in Beckenham (formerly of Penge), and a mum to two small children. I discovered Singing Mamas while I was on maternity leave, and it was a real turning point for me. Singing in a group was incredibly uplifting — it helped me feel calmer, more connected, and had such a positive impact on my mental health. I loved it so much, I decided to train as a leader!

I truly believe in the power of music to bring people together. Research shows that singing has amazing benefits for both mums and babies. It can enhance bonding, support babies’ cognitive development, and even reduce symptoms of postnatal depression in mothers.

My Singing Mamas groups offer a warm, relaxed, and welcoming space for women to connect through song — no experience needed, just your voice and a willingness to join in. Whether you're there for the music, the community, or just a moment of calm in a busy day, you're very welcome - just as you are.
